Episode 1: 16 Chefs Complete
The 16 chefs prepare their signature dishes in the season's first challenge; a contestant is rushed to the emergency room; guests begin to leave when the dinner service is delayed; an elimination.
Episode 2: 14 Chefs Compete
The remaining fourteen chefs face added pressure following the first elimination of the season. Chef Ramsay brings in world-renowned chef Masaharu Morimoto for a demonstration, then challenges the aspiring chefs to recreate his salmon cucumber avocado rolls and tuna nigiri to exacting standards. The winning team is sent off to enjoy a wine tasting and sunset dinner, while the losing team is forced to prepare sushi for the next day's service.
Episode 3: 13 Chefs Compete
The contestants must learn to use time wisely when Chef Ramsay challenges the red and blue teams to make a speedy and delicious breakfast for 50 hungry EMTs. Later, Ramsay teaches the contestants that preparing a simple plate of pasta isn't as easy as it seems when he asks the chefs to create a unique ravioli dish from scratch. During dinner service, both teams struggle to cook their dishes properly and on time, and one contestant especially enrages Chef Ramsay when delayed service almost sabotages a customer's marriage proposal.
Episode 4: 12 Chefs Compete

Episode 5: 11 Chefs Compete
Challenges facing the 11 remaining chefs include devising menus for a retro-themed high-school prom (with the losing team having to set up for the prom) and preparing entree salads (the winner is to be featured in Bon Appetit magazine). Then, undercooking and overcooking bedevil dinner service.
Episode 6: 10 Chefs Compete
Hoping to find leadership and stoke passion, Chef Ramsay swaps the teams of two of the aspiring chefs. For the day's challenge, each chef is asked to create a unique salad and the team with the most favored salads wins. The challenge ends in a tie, so the victory is determined by the single best salad. The winning team enjoys lunch at the Getty Villa, with the creator of the best salad getting his work featured on Bon Appetit. The losing team is made to clean, prep and set up both kitchens ahead of service, which is being held that evening. During the evening's dinner service, the aspiring chefs face the added pressure of serving celebrities at chef's tables. Some rise to the challenge, while others find themselves on fire or kicked out. Though service is completed, Chef Ramsay finds it to be filled with speed bumps and decides that there is no winning team. He then goes on his own to determine the evening's elimination.
Episode 7: 9 Chefs Compete (1)
With tension building between the contestants as the competition heats up, Chef Ramsay tests the chefs imagination and creativity as well as their ability to work together. In the first challenge, the teams are asked to create one cohesive dish using five randomly selected ingredients. The team that prepares the most harmonious dish will jet off to Las Vegas as a reward, while the losers will be forced to wash, peel and cut more than 1,000 potatoes. After a sloppy start, dinner service takes an unexpected turn of events. Later, Ramsay challenges the teams to shop on a budget and transform four classic ingredients into elegant dishes worthy of fine dining. Four special judges critique the teams' creations, and HELL'S KITCHEN welcome some very special guests to the show's most elegant dinner service to date.
Episode 8: 9 Chefs Compete (2)
The remaining aspiring chefs compete in the eighth episode of the eighth season of Hell's Kitchen. A high-profile black tie dinner service is held to commerorate the program's 100th episode.
Episode 9: 8 Chefs Compete
Chef Ramsay is disappointed when his aspiring chefs praise fast food items disguised as five-star hotel food, with only one identifying the chicken wings from his own five star hotel as their favorite. He challenges the chefs to a blind taste test and another of them proves to be a standout, allowing their team to enjoy a day of shopping, followed by dining in a top restaurant. The losers are made to sort trash for recycling. The Red Team, having been on a winning streak, finds themselves eager to continue that streak during service. It proves to be a tough service, with several chefs kicked out and only one left standing in one particular kitchen. That particular chef is declared to be the best of the worst for their team and told to nominate two teammates for elimination.
Episode 10: 7 Chefs Compete
Chef Ramsay tests the chefs' teamwork by thrusting them into a challenge requiring them to cook three appetizers in thirty minutes in turns, with only 15 seconds to communicate in-between switching. The winning team is rewarded with a shopping spree at a cooking store, while the losing team is placed on delivery duty. Additionally, one chef suffers a minor burn to their hand during the challenge. That evening, two chefs on the winning team stay up late in the hot tub and get wasted on beer, and they end up feeling the full effects during the next day's service. During the service, one chef gets kicked out and another very much sinks their team. Chef Ramsay decides that there are no winners and has everyone make a nomination, but decides the elimination based on performance during the service. He gives the remaining chefs their black jackets, merging them into one team.
Episode 11: 6 Chefs Compete
With only six chefs remaining in the competition, Chef Ramsay raises the stakes and asks the contestants to create a single bite that makes a bold first impression. For the amuse-bouche challenge, Chef Ramsay invites Michelin-starred chefs from some of Los Angeles' most critically acclaimed restaurants to judge the contestants, with the winner getting a taste of the sweet life at LA Market at the JW Marriott Hotel. Later, dinner service disappoints as the teams show a lack of cooperation, leaving hungry diners dissatisfied with their meals.
Episode 12: 5 Chefs Compete
With only five chefs remaining, the contestants must prove that they have the passion and talent to move forward in the competition. In a challenge designed to test who has what it takes to cater to LA Market's high-profile clientele, Chef Ramsay asks the contestants to prepare and serve their signature dishes in food trucks to sell to the downtown Los Angeles lunch crowd. The chef with the most popular dish earns a Beverly Hills makeover by celebrity hairstylist Josh Eber and fashion guru Steven Cojocaru, while the rest of the contestants are forced to scrub down their food trucks and prepare HELL'S KITCHEN for dinner service. Later, a disappointing dinner service and underwhelming individual performances push Chef Ramsay to the edge.
Episode 13: 4 Chefs Compete
Only four chefs remain, and the pressure is on for each contestant to prove to Chef Ramsay that he or she has the chops to move forward in the competition. In a challenge designed to test the chefs' ability to identify key ingredients and rely on their palate, Chef Ramsay asks the contestants to recreate a brilliant dish using only sight, smell and taste. The chef who most accurately replicates the dish and displays a keen ability to discern flavors earns a relaxing day at the spa. For the rest of the contestants, it's laundry day at HELL'S KITCHEN, and they are left behind to prep, iron and starch tablecloths and chef jackets for dinner service. Much to Chef Ramsay's delight, the contestants find their groove in the kitchen and host the smoothest dinner service to date. The chefs surely step up their game in the kitchen, but things heat up in a dramatic elimination round.
Episode 14: 2 Chefs Compete
Emotions run high for the remaining four contestants who are more motivated and determined than ever after Chef Ramsay's sobering announcement that not one, but two chefs will be eliminated in the next round. In HELL'S KITCHEN's most sophisticated test to date, Chef Ramsay challenges the chefs to design and execute a balanced fusion dish that combines the flavors of two countries' distinct cuisines. Chef Ramsay enlists the help of three renowned executive chefs and experts in fusion cuisine: Philip Dubose of Asia de Cuba, Helene An of Crustacean and Lee Hefter of Spagoto select one winner who will earn a fine dining experience at Spago Beverly Hills while the remaining contestants are left behind at the dorms for Move-Out Day. Dinner service takes a turn for the worse when the chefs fail to see eye to eye, and Chef Ramsay is forced to intervene. Find out which two contestants let their tempers get the best of them and who is rewarded with a coveted spot in the final round of competition.
Episode 15: Winner Announced
With the grand prize within reach, the final two chefs take center stage in a heated battle to prove to Chef Ramsay that they deserve a head chef position at LA Market at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE and the opportunity to be the official spokesperson for Rosemount Estate Wines.
